How to deflect negative energy attacks

Are others draining your energy and surrounding you with negativity?
Learn how to cleanse and protect your aura and deflect those negative vibes!

How many times have we found ourselves drawn into situations or come into contact with others who have left us feeling uncomfortable or threatened? These encounters often leave us feeling stressed or drained and exhausted. If these people are family members, friends or work colleagues it isn’t always an option to simply avoid them. Those who drain or leach our energy are known in spiritual circles as energy vampires, they literally suck the life-force from us. These offenders are often unaware of their actions, the problem usually being an inability to open themselves up to channel universal energy, so when they sense their reserves are running low they unconsciously seek out others who have what they need. Babies and young children have weaker auras and need the extra protection from their parents or carers who have far stronger auras. Some children are clingier than others often leaving their carers depleted of energy, most grow out of as they mature and their aura naturally becomes more resilient, although we all know some people who continue this as they grow up!

The thought of energy vampires may make us feel like running out and draping garlands of garlic around our necks but there are other less ‘aromatic’ ways of protecting ourselves!

As an empath and a healer this was something I had to learn to deal with. Over time I have developed a number of techniques designed to shield myself and to deflect the flow of negative energy. You may not be able to use all of these techniques at the same time, at least not without coming across as looking very strange, but using any of them will help.

·         First of all cross your legs at the ankle, easier to do if you are seated! Doing this will close down the cycle of your own energy field allowing your own energy to circulate unhindered.

·         Turn slightly to one side, do not sit or stand facing them full on. Facing someone full on exposes  all our chakras leaving them vulnerable and directly in the firing line to any negative thoughts, words or emotions of others

·         As the right eye is naturally more dominating, avoid this by focussing only on the left eye when you are conversing. You will still be able to maintain eye contact but it will be on an equal level energetically.
·         Put your hands together, fingers and thumbs touching, this as with the ankles seals off your aura and continues to circulate your own energy flow.

We are often at our lowest ebb and risk of negative energy hits in public places such as supermarkets leaving us feeling drained and irritable. The fastest way to remedy this is to distance ourselves from the place or situation. Next we need to concentrate on grounding and centering ourselves; this can be done by taking a walk in the fresh air, running our hands under cool running water, playing music which calms or uplifts us.

Focus on your breathing, long, slow, deep breaths, on the in-breath visualise positive energy flooding your body, on the out-breath visualise all the pent up emotions and negativity being cleansed from your body.

The next step is to close down all chakras and then open them again slowly beginning with the base or root chakra, and working up to the crown. Some people like to visualise their chakras as flower petals slowly unfolding, others see them as spinning discs or swirling coloured lights, whatever works for you, try to focus on seeing/feeling them as all being the same size and if they are rotating that they are at the same speed.

When they are all open and balanced draw white light/universal energy through your crown chakra, brow chakra, throat chakra, heart chakra, solar plexus chakra, sacral chakra, and base/root chakra continuing down through your feet and into the ground. When you feel firmly grounded  push this energy back up again and then feel/see it flooding out through your crown, streaming down and around you and into the ground you are now fully cleansed and protected.

Breastfeeding is now bad for babies?

In recent reports from the US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention, the CDC, it is now recommended that mothers should not breastfeed their children, they claim this is in order to boost the effectiveness of their vaccinations!

Researchers have released a paper “Inhibitory effect of breast milk on infectivity of live oral rotavirus vaccines”.  The full report on this can be found here http://www.naturalnews.com/034722_breastfeeding_vaccines_CDC.html

When we as mothers should be focussing on the health giving benefits of breastfeeding we are urged instead to do the reverse. As a mother myself of three children I can vouch for the effectiveness of breastfeeding.
My first child struggled to latch on and after a miserable four months of him gaining little weight only to lose it again and my milk drying up we called it a day and moved onto formula. He suffered with crippling colic, rarely slept for more than 20 minutes at a time day or night and was the most miserable of babies.
My second child was a dream to breastfeed, she was a very contented happy baby who slept well and suffered rarely from colic or stomach upsets.

My third child I also breastfed, this was also a challenge but by combining breast feeding with formula feeds we reached a happy compromise.

Now my children are 15, 12 and 7 years old and now looking back the way it has affected their health is very interesting to me. My eldest has always been the first to catch every virus going and takes the longest to recover. My first daughter is the most robust, she rarely catches anything and when she does she recovers at the speed of light, it would take a runaway truck to stop that one! My second daughter falls in between, and catches her fair share of viruses but usually recovers quickly. To me this is more than just a coincidence.
All three have had the usual childhood immunisations but breastfeeding has been the one thing which has had the most impact on their health and wellbeing. No matter what so called experts proclaim breast will always be best. It is time we saw a return to the ways of Mother Nature and once again lived in harmony and balance with our world instead of trying to poison it and us along with it.

Beat the winter coughs and colds – naturally!

Try these great natural approaches to treating coughs, colds and viruses.

When we first feel a cold creeping upon us the first instinct is usually to dose ourselves up with all manner of pills and potions from the local pharmacy. While there will always be a place for vitally important conventional medicines, it doesn’t always have to be our first port of call. If caught earlier enough there are many natural ways we can heal ourselves. While traditional healthcare tends to focus on just the symptoms and the use of potentially suppressive treatments, alternative health care gently supports the body to heal naturally in non invasive ways. Part of having a cold is having a runny nose and by trying to suppress that you are preventing your body from eradicating the virus.

By using herbs, essential, or aromatherapy oils and other natural systems we can ease these symptoms without suppressing them.

Five things to you can do to fight back!

·         Drink plenty of fluids, in particular water, fruit or vegetable juices and herbal drinks such as Lemon & Ginger, Chamomile & Honey or one of the ready made detox blends. It is best to avoid any caffeine laden drinks as these will further dehydrate you. A great start to the day is a glass of hot water with lemon juice and honey. The lemon juice and hot water will cleanse and invigorate your system encouraging detoxification with a healthy dose of Vitamin C. The honey will ease and coat sore throats and its antibacterial action will get to work on all those nasty germs!

·         Have plenty of rest, if you are having trouble sleeping at night, time and responsibilities willing, take a power nap. Even 10 minutes can be enough to recharge your batteries. While we are sleeping our body functions slow right down, giving our body a chance to repair and heal itself.

·         Eat little and often, try to avoid large heavy meals as your body needs to conserve its energy for healing rather than digesting huge amounts of food. Try to eat things which are light, such as soups and broths.  Cut down on dairy products where you can as this will only encourage the production of mucus, the last thing you need when you are full of cold!

·         Fresh air! Nothing makes you feel worse than being shut up in a stuffy central heated house. Fresh air and a little light exercise will clear your head and encourage your body to release toxins while the day light will boost your vitamin D intake.

·         Keep busy, but don’t over do things, delegate jobs if possible and only do what is necessary. If you don’t have to go to work  or have other responsibilities take this time to catch up on your reading , phone up a friend, watch a favourite movie or listen to some music which leaves you feeling uplifted.  Long lingering illnesses especially in winter can quickly leave you feeling depressed, so even if you are feeling very ill try not to wallow in it. Scientists have proven that those with a positive attitude to life always recover more quickly than those with a “poor me” attitude.

Now for some other ways we can help our body to heal, below is the recipe to make our famous;

Good Vibes Cold Cure

Ingredients
·         Juice of ½ a freshly squeezed lemon
·         1 cup of lemonade
·         6 cloves
·         ½  a cinnamon stick
·         1 dessert spoon of honey
·         ¼ cup of water

Instructions
·         Add all the ingredient to a small pan
·         Bring to the boil and simmer for 2 minutes
·         Strain into a cup, allow to cool a little but drink whilst still hot
Drink this three times a day to soothe sore throats, ease coughs and boost your immune system.

How essential aromatherapy oils can play their part too.
Now we come to using some essential aromatherapy oils.  To clear your head, ease those aches and pains, detoxify your body, and aid a good night’s sleep; add five drops of lavender oil and five drops of Chamomile oil to a nice warm bath. If your skin is dry or itchy you can mix these oils into a tablespoon of carrier oil. (This works fabulously for chicken pox too!)

The following essential oil blend will treat the complaints listed below.
It can be used alone or alongside any conventional medication you may be taking.

  • ·         Headaches
  • ·         Sore throat
  • ·         Sinusitis
  • ·         Laryngitis
  • ·         Tonsillitis
  • ·         Bronchitis
  • ·         Coughs
When essential oils are mixed together they form a synergistic blend, with each oil enhancing the performance of the other. For this treatment you will need both a large bowl of hot water and a towel to cover your head or a facial steamer/sauna.

Add to the hot water:

  • ·         1 drop Patchouli oil (anti-inflammatory, anti-depressant, anti-microbial, antiseptic)
  • ·         1 drop Frankincense oil (anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, diuretic, expectorant, tonic)
  • ·         1 drop Lemon oil (anti–microbial, antiseptic, anti-spasmodic, depurative, diuretic, febrifuge, carminative)
Inhale this blend for ten minutes three times a day, oh and keep your eyes closed too, this very potent mix will clear your head in record time!

If you have an oil burner or diffuser then Lavender or Rosemary are two very good oils to use as they are both anti viral and antibacterial. Not only will they help to heal you they will also cut down on airborne viruses spreading to other family members.

There are a multitude of vitamin and mineral supplements available which can be helpful in treating these symptoms, and boosting your immune system. Any herbalist, homeopath or pharmacist will be more than happy to help you find the ones best suited to you.

New Distance Attunement Added - The Indigo Light Empowerment

The Indigo Light Empowerment

System Originator - Linda C. Colibert

With the Help of Quan Yin
This system is more of a personal growth system, than a healing system. It raises your vibration, and allows you to develop your psychic abilities and will also help you to learn to communicate with others, animals, and the nature Spirit’s through empathy and intuition at a faster pace by connecting you to the higher realms. As such, it also works to help raise the vibration of Earth and Humanity, which in turn, speeds our evolution to higher dimensional thinking. The Indigo Light Empowerment energy works with the third eye chakra and psychic centres. It enhances psychic abilities through empathy and love.
This system will provide a calming effect on Indigo Children and Indigo Adults. Indigo Children are often labelled as having behavioural problems, lack of attention, and learning disabilities. But actually, the child simply cannot communicate and express what they are feeling in the normal way. They are unique and gifted children. They learn differently than most children and so the teaching methods must be altered and adjusted to each individual child in order to teach them.
The Indigo Light energies will sooth them, calms them, and allows you to better understand what they are having trouble in expressing. The great thing is that the Indigo Light Empowerment energies do not inhibit any of these children’s special gifts as some medications and methods do. With the Indigo Light energies these children feel calmer, more connected, and the frustrations they feel at others not understanding them subsides.

5 ways to attract more positivity into your day

Are you feeling stuck in a rut? Does each day feel like another round on the treadmill? Even if you can’t change your day to day routine, you are entitled to have a little fun each day, so let’s look at how we can lighten the load!

The best way to get the most out of your day is by doing things with a positive attitude, and by focusing on the immediate job at hand.  If we looked ahead and saw the towering pile of pots we would have to wash, or clothes we would have to iron in a lifetime, it would be enough to make anyone take to their bed! So for today, just focus on the chores that need your attention today.  Yesterday is over and done with, you did your best and nothing can change that now. Tomorrow has yet to be born, and no matter what you expect, it will be magically filled with all kinds of unsuspecting surprises.

A day rarely goes exactly as we plan it to, so be open and flexible and remember that a positive attitude attracts positive things, people and events to you, just as having a negative attitude will attract negativity to you. No matter what the day holds we can always get through it, the sun will set today and rise again tomorrow. A positive attitude will make you feel happier, more positive and healthier too and open up more opportunities and possibilities, allowing you to move in harmony with the flow of the universe and not against it.

So today, whether you have a few minutes or a few hours to spare, give yourself permission to enjoy yourself, it isn’t being selfish, and it isn’t being lazy, it’s about putting YOU first! Only when you are at your best, can you give your best to others.

1. Have an attitude of gratitude; show gratitude and a positive attitude to everyone you meet.
Make time to have a quick chat with your postman/woman, delivery person or cashier, smile at a passer by. The fastest way to attract those good vibes is to give them out first! Help out at a charity or fundraising event, volunteer to be a visitor at your local hospital or hospice. By helping others you are attracting more positivity into your life, the more you give, the more will be returned to you, and usually when you least expect it! Call on a friend or a neighbour, spend some time in their company just listening to them, especially if this is someone who is elderly, housebound or lives alone. If you can’t get out and about yourself, make time for a sociable phone call or write a cheery letter. Spend time with people who make you feel good, just for the fun of it.

2. Declutter your life; the fastest way of attracting positive energy into your life is by stirring up stale, stagnant, negative energy and moving it out of your life. Get rid of anything you no longer use, listen to, watch or wear, pass it on to friends or relatives or donate to charity and let someone else benefit from it. Look at negative cycles in your life; do you eat the same meals over and over again? Do you watch the same TV programmes or visit the same places? Are you still hanging onto items, ideas or beliefs that were never actually yours? When we end a relationship, it is easy to carry on as if they had never left, in the same old routine, doing things that we never particularly liked but put up with because they loved doing them. Reclaim your life!
3. Set a daily goal, something that excites and inspires you. It doesn’t need to be anything huge, or for it to take up a lot of time or money; you could take an exercise class or DVD, read a chapter of a self improvement book, learn to play an instrument, learn a foreign language, anything that will stretch you and move you away from the boredom of the daily grind.

4. Organize your time, so that you can achieve a realistic amount of work or complete a sensible amount of tasks in one day. Don’t set unrealistic goals, or you will be setting yourself to fail before you begin. Don’t be afraid to ask for help and delegate to co-workers or family members, if and when you can. If you have large goals, then chop them down into bite sized pieces, analyse what it would take to get through each step and then do it! Don’t forget to celebrate your achievements too, we spend so much time with our eyes on the horizon we rarely stop, take stock and enjoy the fruits of our labour. So stop right now and give yourself a pat on the back for all the great things you have done, especially those that seemed so impossible at the time. Take this knowledge with you and the next time something appears insurmountable recall and take strength from those previous times, know that you can do it!

5. Look at the world through the eyes of a child; remember the innocent wonder and delight of the simplest things. Take a walk through your local park, have a picnic, stop and listen to the birds singing, the wind blowing through the trees, catch raindrops on your tongue, jump in puddles, take your socks and shoes off and walk barefoot in the long grass. Even if it is just for half an hour, sit and listen to your favourite music, dance around the room. Go within and meditate, get to know the real you, and learn to love yourself for the special unique human being you are. Be spontaneous, adventurous, open to the synchronicity of life, live your life creatively intune with the universe.
